For now, I had to roll the computer back to W7. This caused BSOD on startup. After a couple of days trying I finally got my Toshiba Satellite to update from Windows 8. Everything works fine again. You definitely get my thumbs up for this one.

The adapter should reappear. Try wr500 update the drivers from the option stating automatically update the drivers. I have the same issue. Double-click on it, and click Update Driver in the Driver section.

It said after installing the driver you need to go into the BIOS and reset it to the default.
